What does the name Nazca mean?

That the origin of the word NASCA could come from the words Nanascca, whose meaning is "sore or tormented" (past part of the verb nanay); Añasca, whose meaning is "land of skunks"; or Nasqa, which in the Quechua dictionary means "people of Peru submitted by Prince Ruka, son of Qhapax.

About Nazca

Taking a flight in a small plane to fly over the 322 kilometers of plateau south of Lima, will allow you to have a better perspective of the Nazca Lines, a set of World Heritage geoglyphs engraved on the stony surface of the desert plateaus. Both the creators and the meaning of these striking abstract and animal figures remain a mystery, but the truth is that their discovery, back in 1939, attracted a continuous flow of tourists who came to visit this small city, which is accessed by bus from Lima, Cuzco and Arequipa.
