Tour to Copacabana and Sun Island from Puno

This tour starts at 7:00 a.m. with a pickup from your hotel to take you to the bus terminal, where we will take the bus to go along a paved road to Copacabana, located 151 km from the city of Puno, on an approximate trip of 3 and a half hours, the entire route borders Lake Titicaca. We will arrive in Copacabana at approximately 12:00 p.m. (Bolivian time), we have 1 hour and 30 minutes to have lunch and take a guided tour of the Copacabana church, your tour guide will contact you upon arrival of the bus. Your tour guide will be bilingual English/Spanish. After lunch at approximately 1:30 p.m. We begin our tour to the Island of the Sun (shared boat), crossing the lake for approximately an hour and a half until reaching the southern part of the Island of the Sun, then a short walk down the steps of Yumani until reaching the Fountain of Youth, there one can purify oneself by drinking some sacred water, it is believed that these waters are the fountain of eternal youth, where we will also enjoy the beauty of the Inca garden, after our visit we will return to Copacabana, to take the bus back to Puno or continue to La Paz.

What Is Included?

• 07:00 a.m. - Pick up from Hotels and Hostels in the city of Puno.
• 07:30 a.m. - Departure of the bus from the land terminal
• 11:30 a.m. - Arrival at the Kasani border (Peru – Bolivia) to complete immigration procedures. Visa fee is not included
• 12:00 p.m. - Arrival in Copacabana. Bilingual English/Spanish speaking tour guide.
• 12:15 p.m. - Visit to the Copacabana Church and lunch.
• 02:00 p.m. - Visit to Isla del Sol (Southern Part)

• 04:50 p.m. - Return from the Island of the Sun to Copacabana
• 06:00 p.m. - Arrival in Copacabana.
• 06:30 p.m. - Return bus from Copacabana to Puno.
• 09:15 p.m. - Arrival in the city of Puno
• 09:30 p.m. - Arrival at your hotel in Puno

What is not included?

• Food/drinks on board (Please bring your own snacks or drinks).
• US Travelers must pay a tourist visa tax of $160USD to enter Bolivia.

Important: Please visit the Bolivian embassy to find out what are the requirements for you to enter Bolivia. This is your responsibility. Your passport must have 6-month validity at the time of entry. If entering Bolivia from Peru then the passport you use must be the same passport used to enter Peru. If you have dual citizenship, you cannot switch passports at the Bolivian Border. You may also need a visa if you are a passport holder from countries from Group 2 or Group 3.
