This official Machu Picchu ticket issued by the Peruvian government grants you general access to the citadel of Machu Picchu, with entrance times from 6am to 2pm (06h00 - 14h00). You must choose the specific time you will enter when making your reservation. The maximum time you will be allowed in Machupicchu is approximately 4 hours which is the time the standard circuit takes from beginning to end.

You must show your original passport along with your ticket at the entrance. The name on your passport and your Machupicchu ticket must match.
All Machupicchu tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable. All Machupicchu tickets are valid only for 1 day, only for the date and times indicated on the ticket. You can NOT re-enter Machupicchu once you exit, so please make sure you are prepared to remain inside the entire time. There are no bathrooms or food allowed inside Machupicchu, so plan accordingly.
Machu Picchu has two sectors of roughly equal size, the Agricultural Sector and the Urban Sector. Although the main attractions of Machu Picchu are spread out across the site, the good concentration of them are found in the Urban Sector.

Cancellations or refunds of Machu Picchu tickets are not allowed by Peru's Ministerio de Cultura. The Ministry of Culture only allows you to change the date of your visit. To make a change, there is an administrative fee of $5USD + a percentage of the ticket cost:

25% if 48hr before original visit date
10% if 72hr before original visit date
