This transfer is from Cusco to to the hydroelectric train station near Aguas Calientes. It is the most affordable way to get to Machu Picchu from Cusco. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 6am to 7am. Your confirmation voucher will tell you the time. You will stop in Santa Teresa for lunch and arrive at hydroelectric train station by 2pm. You then simply walk on a straight path along the train tracks to get to Aguas Calientes also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The walk from hydrolectric train station is about 2 hrs. You will then schedule your return bus back to Cusco on the next day at 2pm. or if you prefer any day after. This will allow you to visit Machu Picchu and even hike Huaynapicchu the most affordable way.

Fitness Requirements

You must be in good physical shape and wear comfortable shoes. Although the trail from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes is flat, it is a dirt road with rocks along the train tracks. You must be able to walk for at least 2 to 3 hrs.
